About the Host: Tim
Born and raised in South Australia, Tim is the heart behind The Retreat Collective. A creative soul with a love for adventure and meeting new people, Tim brings a hands-on approach to hosting — personally curating each stay to reflect warmth, comfort, and a touch of local character. When he’s not fixing up his next retreat, Tim works with a national not-for-profit that uses sport and recreation to support and uplift disadvantaged communities. His passion for connection, inclusion, and wellbeing flows seamlessly into his hospitality style — thoughtful, down-to-earth, and people-first.After walking the Kokoda Track (with a busted rib, no less!) and dreaming of far-off places like Scotland, Tim’s love of travel and storytelling is woven through each of his properties. He’s also known to binge sailing documentaries and encourage others to live life on their own terms.Tim’s goal? To create stays that feel like more than just a place to sleep — spaces where you can truly relax, reconnect, and feel at home.

About the Hosts: Jason and Jo
We’re Jason & Jo — professional property flippers, adventurers, and the proud hosts of Silver City Luxe.A few years ago, we made the decision to design life on our own terms. We sold everything, bought a caravan, and hit the road to explore Australia — travelling full-time and funding our adventures by transforming unloved properties into beautiful homes. For the past 4.5 years, we’ve been flipping houses all over the country, with the freedom to work wherever we feel inspired. When we arrived in Broken Hill, we were instantly captivated by its rich history and creative spirit. In just 18 months, we renovated three homes here — each one unliveable when we found it, and each lovingly brought back to life. Two we sold, but the third we couldn’t part with — and that’s how Silver City Luxe came to be.Jason is a qualified carpenter, cabinet maker and shopfitter with over 34 years’ experience, with a true passion for interior fitouts and home renovation. Jo brings more than 30 years’ experience in administration, bookkeeping, real property training, and a deep love for all things property. Together, we’ve poured heart, soul, and craftsmanship into this space — and we can’t wait to share it with you.
